Flight from Zurich to Oslo. A city tour takes you through the Norwegian capital, followed by an overnight stay in Oslo.
A full day in Oslo – time to discover the city on the fjord at your own pace.
Charter flight from Oslo to Longyearbyen. Overnight stay in the high north including dinner and breakfast.
An excursion takes you through Longyearbyen, the largest settlement on the archipelago. Embarkation on the MS Fram follows.
The MS Fram reaches Ny-Ålesund as well as the Krossfjord and the Kongsfjord on the west coast of Spitsbergen.
Two days in the Northwest Spitsbergen National Park: the Monaco Glacier, Magdalenefjord and Raudfjord – with guided landings by expedition boat.
Still in the Northwest Spitsbergen National Park – glacier fronts, fjords and the vastness of the Arctic.
Two days along the ice edge, where the open sea meets the Arctic pack ice.
Continuing along the ice edge on the northernmost stretch of the voyage.
Four days exploring eastern Spitsbergen: Bråsvellbreen, Kvitøya and the Hinlopen Strait.
Onward through the east of the archipelago – glacier fronts, islands and straits, depending on the ice.
Sailing the most remote waters of the voyage, far in the north-east.
The final day in the east, before the MS Fram sets course south.
Two days in the South Spitsbergen National Park with the Hornsund and Bellsund fjord systems.
Final landings in the south of Spitsbergen before the MS Fram sets course for Longyearbyen.
Disembarkation in Longyearbyen, followed by flights Longyearbyen – Oslo – Zurich.
